    Description

An attic find, this is a really lovely vintage vinyl fashion lady doll.  She is unmarked, and at first I thought she was a Miss Revlon or Miss Revlon clone. Online research tells me that American Character made Sweet Sue Sophistocate dolls in 1957 and she very much resembles them, though she is only 10" high. She does have high heel feet, rooted hair, pierced ears and a twist waist.  If I am wrong, someone please let me know. She has blue sleep eyes with full lashes. Her original rooted wig is full and long. Her facial modelling is crisp and her paint is not damaged. She has been stored away for many years, and so comes to you in a suitable but untagged vintage dress and black high heeled shoes, but in need of a gentle cleaning. Her body functions well, but there is some staining on her right shoulder, which is pictured. If you  love to bring dolls of this era back to life, please check my store. I found several, some in need of love, some not, and am always happy to combine lots to save postage cost.
Vintage Mary Hoyer doll, hard plastic from the 1950's or 60's. It is marked on the back. She comes in a very cute schoolgirl outfit which is probably from a Mary Hoyer pattern. The clothes look factory made to me but I am not a doll expert by any means. If someone made this outfit, they were an extremely skilled seamstress IMO. The clothes are not stained or ripped and are in fine condition. The doll has the dress, coat, underwear, no socks, shoes but the soles have seen better days. The doll's hair looks like its still in the original set and has the original hair net. I don't see any rubs, dings or damage. Overall, this Hoyer is in fine condition, ready to add to your collection! Feel free to ask any questions as I am out of my element with vintage dolls. I showed her to a very knowledgeable collector (Thanks Dolldoctor!) and thats where the info in this listing comes from.
