Vintage 1960's Deluxe Reading Hold My Left Hand & I Will Walk With You 24" Doll

Up for auction is a vintage 1963 Deluxe Reading Walker 24" Walker doll. She is extremely clean and in great shape with shiny hair and great facial paint. She has working sleepy eyes (missing the eyelashes on one eye). Her body is made of hard plastic and is in great shape with no cracks or melt marks. The only thing to mention is a small mark of green on the back of her neck. When you hold her left hand she does make a walking motion. She comes with her original dress that is clean and nice with the Hold My Left Hand and I will walk with You ribbon firmly intact. It has both buttons - one button hole has a rip. WONDERFUL vintage doll for the collector or on display! Please see all photos as they are part of this description.

Up for auction today is a Mary Hoyer type doll, possibly a Richwood Cindy Lou.  She is previously owned and is marked
MADE IN U.S.A.
on her back.  I'm calling her a lookalike because she does not have the original Hoyer marking on her back, but
does
have the Mary Hoyer face.
She is hard plastic and a walker; her head turns a little bit when the legs are moved.  But the head also seems a bit loose on the neck. even though it is still attached inside.  It might just be the way these type of dolls were made.
There is a small crack on the left side of her head near the neck, that has been filled in with Plastic Paste; hopefully this will keep it from getting worse.  There is also a crack/seam split on the outer right leg, and on the back of the right thigh, also filled in somewhat with Plastic Paste.
Her pretty face has working sleep eyes with all their lashes.  The hair is made to be in braids, but I left it down; didn't want to try to rebraid it.
The garland in her hair, and the beautiful pink dress, were made by a talented seller on another site.  The dress closes with snaps in back and has a tie at the waist.  Shoes and panties were purchased new.
I did not detect any odors.
