Most of my miniature auctions start with LOW opening bids and NO reserve.  Please see my other items as I am happy to combine shipping (pay highest shipping for one auction and any other wins ship for NO additional charge  ~  please wait for a combined invoice if you win more than one auction ~ it is the ONLY way I can combine shipping to save you money (if paid separately I cannot combine).
I am sad to report that my friend who was an avid miniature collector passed away last year.  Over the next few months, as time allows I will be listing the collection that she accrued over many years with items ranging from antique to contemporary and many high end one of a kind artisan pieces.  So, if you see something you like, please bid and don't write me later saying "I am kicking myself for missing the end of the auction ~ do you have another?"  The answer will be "no" so please remember the old adage, bid EARLY and bid OFTEN :o)
This is an antique cardboard matchbox with Georgian era scenes on front and back.  My friend originally bought it to do a 1:144 scale scene inside but never got around to it.  The inside box is an antique gold color.  Has a blue and white label reading "MADE IN FRANCE".
    Measures 2 5/8" x a bit over 1 3/4" x 3/4".
PLEASE NOTE THAT ITEMS IN THE LAST PHOTO ARE NOT INCLUDED AND WILL BE LISTED SEPARATELY (shown in a one inch scale scene for size reference).
The U.S. Postal Service is experiencing MAJOR PROBLEMS with delivery due to Covid and other issues that set them behind last year and they are still scrambling to catch up.  SOME packages are taking up to four WEEKS to be delivered.   If you can't commit to possibly having to wait up to FOUR WEEKS for delivery, please don't bid.  If item is not delivered in that time period you will be refunded.  I am offering UPS as an alternative but please be advised that UPS rates are sometimes more than double those of USPS and even they are experiencing some delivery problems :o(
