Omega Environmental Technologies Hose Assemblies
tubes and fittings match OE design combining the uses of both steel and aluminum. All hose assemblies meet tensile standards for SAEJ51 and IMACA 312 for R12 and SAEJ2064 for R134a.
Here are the three main hose in the ac system.
Suction Line
- Is also referred to as the low-pressure vapor line. In an Expansion valve configuration the line connects the evaporator outlet to the compressor inlet. In an orifice tube configuration the line the line connects from the accumulator to the compressor inlet. Either way suction line always connects to the compressor.
Discharge line
. Also referred to High-pressure discharge line, connects the compressor outlet to the condenser inlet. This goes the same for both expansion and orifice tube configuration.
Liquid line
- Is also referred as the high-pressure liquid line. In an Expansion valve configuration, the line connects on the condenser outlet to the receiver-drier inlet. It also connects the receiver-drier outlet to the evaporator metering device inlet. In an orifice tube configuration, the line connects on the condenser outlet to the evaporator inlet with the orifice tube inside the liquid line.
When to replace hose assemblies?
Hose Assemblies and lines should be replace any time they are damage. When damaged they leak refrigerant and oil which can cause oil starvation on the A/C Compressor. Resulting in internal damage or premature clutch wear. So it’s always recommended to replace the accumulator or drier every time a hose is being repaired.
