This is a brand new Kenwood KRA-23 400-470 MHz Stubby Antenna
Base of Antenna has been modified by trimming to allow proper fit on pager
The Unication G3 Pager has an internal antenna for VHF.  The external stub antenna is for UHF and this replacement antenna extends UHF Range
I have
personally
modified by trimming the bottom of these antennas so they fit properly on the Unication G3 Pagers.
Personal testing using these antennas allow me to now receive UHF traffic on my demo G3 pager from over
30 miles away
.
Of course, your results may vary depending terrain, ERP and elevation of transmitter site and of course,
atmospheric
conditions.
Users have reported anywhere from a 1 to 3 bar
improvement
on the internal signal strength indicator of the pager.
This is
NOT
a perfect fit as I have tried to show by the pictures in this listing.  Approximately 1/8" of the black rubber has been trimmed from the bottom of the antenna
