Base of Antenna has been modified by trimming to allow proper fit on pager
I have
personally
modified by trimming the bottom of these antennas so they fit properly on the Unication G4/G5 Pagers.
Personal testing using these antennas allow me to now receive 700/800 MHz sites on my demo G5 pager from over
30 miles away
.
Of course, your results may vary depending terrain, ERP and elevation of transmitter site and of course,
atmospheric
conditions.
Users have reported anywhere from a 1 to 3 bar
improvement
on the internal signal strength indicator of the pager.
This is
NOT
a perfect fit as I have tried to show by the pictures in this listing.  Approximately 1/8" of the black rubber has been trimmed from the bottom of the antenna - The black rubber on this particular antenna is extremely hard, so it is very difficult to get a smooth cut!
