Her pieces are distinct for their high level craftsmanship, precision, and distressed finish. In Cindy's words, "Each piece is created to offer a sense of the toll taken by the passage of time". This piece (vintage 90s) may have been designed as a candle box (?) or other multi-purpose box for small loose household items.
Measures 1-1/8" wide x 9/16" deep x 1/2" tall (pegged bottom). Lid opens.
Not included in listing (but I will make a copy for you) is additional information about The Heartland Collection. In Cindy's words:
"Along with their appreciation of fine wood, our immigrant craftsmen brought with them a high level of competence, a purity of design, and a marvelous simplicity and directness which I have sought to combine with a patina evolving from years of loving use.
Welcome to the world of the upper Midwest. May you love it more than I, may you capture a way of life forever gone by including one or several of these pieces in your collection. The result will be a comfortable ambiance and a gift of yesterday to your miniature setting."
Am downsizing my collection, and take comfort finding others who enjoy as much:)
THIS IS A NEAT PIECE FROMA PRIVATE COLLECTION. IT IS A MINIATURE SCALE SIGNED AND MADE BY RON BUFTON. IT MEASURES 2 1/16" TALL. A NICE ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION.
