This twist waist doll from the 1950's has a hard plastic body, a twist waist, and a vinyl head. She also has a Cyndi Lauper hairdo! She was made in 1956-57 by Belle Corp. and her name is Margie according to information I found on Google. Her cute dress is not original and appears to be handmade. The satin fabric is lined with net. There is one spot on the skirt as shown. She has painted fingernails & toes, and is marked B18. She has no panties, shoes or stockings.

Up for your consideration is this sweet Vintage Tourist Doll from Spain. Made in the 1950's. She stands 12 inches tall. Her hair is black and made of yarn with a flowers on top. She has red plastic earrings and is holding a pair of red castanets. Her dress is white with red polka dots and red and green trim. There is also fringe around her neck and waist line. She has red shoes, a white slip with knee length bloomers. Her arms, legs and face are felt or cloth and her face eyebrows, eyes nose and lips are embroidered on. Her eyes are green and she is looking sideways. She has a tag on her arm, saying she is made in Spain, inside it says a bit about the company and that her name is Carmen A1. On the back it says The Rimblas Company Hollywood California. Please feel free to email me with any questions, comments or tidbits of knowledge as I am no expert in dolls. This lovely girl came from my mother in laws estate and she was kept in a box in a smoke free home. Please note I do my best to describe these treasures and being that they are over 50 years old I may miss some details.
