1940's Ideal Mama Doll PB12 Magic skin 20"

Description

1940's Ideal Mama doll with magic skin.  She has a crier but it does not work.

I think
the doll has a hard plastic head w/molded & painted hair & features
.  Molded curls.  Eyes open and close correctly.  From research the skin is a rubber - latex and is called magic skin.  I think the magic skin is in pretty good shape for the age compared to others I have seen.  The skin feels like a soft stuffed rubber.  The body and upper legs are stuffed cloth.
Eyes open and close correctly.  There is paint missing on the eyelids.
Nose end has a paint rub/chip, small scratch below mouth on left side (it does not look deep), paint is rubbing off on lips and eyebrows, chip/small crack on bottom of left eye, other small marks and chips on face, Left arm has been repaired on the soft body material, left arm has a hole in the skin near the wrist in back, left toe has a small hole on the end of the toe, lots of little marks that did not come off with a light cleaning on doll, crier does not work.  Water type stain on cloth.  There are stains, marks on the doll that did not come off with a light cleaning.  I did not clean the soft body.  Magic skin is a different color than the head.  Age and different materials.
Clothes are clean and vintage but I do not know if they are original.  The underwear elastic is stretched out.  New headband with hair clip.  Pre-owned socks from my inventory.
